BEZET’s catalog was growing fast, but their e-commerce site wasn’t built to grow with it. Pages felt slow, and shoppers couldn’t narrow products down in the ways that mattered most—especially by size, color, and material.

Behind the scenes, the team was fighting the same problem from a different angle. Inventory lived in spreadsheets, which made updates slow and easy to break. When the site didn’t match real stock, the team had to spend time on preventable customer-service follow-ups—and risked overselling.

Mobile performance was a must. 68% of BEZET’s traffic came from mobile devices, but the experience didn’t feel fast or premium on smaller screens. They needed a storefront that stayed quick as the catalog expanded, plus an admin and inventory system the team could rely on day to day.

Discovery

We reviewed the full customer journey (browse → filter → product page → checkout) alongside the internal workflow (product updates → inventory tracking → order processing). The same issues showed up on both sides: too much waiting and too much manual work.

• Shopper friction: slow load times, limited filtering, and a checkout flow that asked for too much before purchase.
• Operational friction: spreadsheet-based inventory tracking and a catalog workflow that made updates slower and more error-prone than it needed to be.

From there, we aligned on priorities: improve storefront speed, make filtering genuinely useful for a larger catalog, connect inventory directly to orders, and reduce checkout steps—especially on mobile.

We rebuilt the platform around two outcomes: a faster buying experience and more dependable operations as the catalog grows.

Solution

We designed and developed a custom e-commerce platform for BEZET on Laravel 10, focused on speed, usability, and reliability for the team managing the catalog.

Advanced product filtering: We implemented multi-attribute filtering so shoppers can refine results by size, color, material, and price range. Filters update dynamically, which keeps customers moving without bouncing through extra pages.

Inventory management system: We replaced spreadsheet tracking with real-time stock management tied directly to the catalog and order flow. Stock levels update as orders are processed, and low-stock alerts help the team stay ahead of shortages and prevent overselling.

Custom admin panel: We built a dedicated admin interface to manage products efficiently. It supports bulk product uploads, automatic image optimization to help maintain fast load times, and SEO fields to support search visibility. This reduced the time spent on product updates by 60%.

Optimized checkout flow: We rebuilt checkout into a streamlined two-step process and implemented Stripe for payments. The shorter path to purchase reduced friction at the moment of decision and contributed to a 35% decrease in cart abandonment.

Mobile-first UI: With 68% of traffic coming from mobile, we built responsive layouts using Tailwind CSS and prioritized mobile usability across browsing, filtering, and checkout. The improved mobile experience helped drive a 45% increase in mobile conversion rate.
