Comprehensive overview of the BEZET project
Challenge
BEZET’s catalog was expanding fast, but their e-commerce site wasn’t built to handle it. Pages loaded slowly, and shoppers couldn’t narrow down products in practical ways—especially by size, color, and material.
Internally, inventory was tracked in spreadsheets. That created a constant mismatch risk between what was actually in stock and what the site showed, which increased the chance of overselling and led to avoidable customer-service follow-ups.
Mobile performance was the priority. 68% of BEZET’s traffic came from mobile devices, but the existing experience didn’t feel fast or premium on smaller screens. They needed a storefront that stayed quick as the catalog grew, plus an admin and inventory system the team could rely on day to day.
Discovery
We looked at the project from two angles: the customer path to purchase and the internal workflow required to keep the catalog accurate.
- Shopper friction: slow load times, limited filtering, and a checkout flow that asked for too much before purchase.
- Operational friction: spreadsheet-based inventory tracking and a catalog workflow that made updates slower and more error-prone than necessary.
That clarified the priorities: speed up the storefront, make filtering useful for a large catalog, connect inventory directly to orders, and reduce checkout steps—especially on mobile.

Solution
We designed and developed a custom e-commerce platform for BEZET on Laravel 10, focusing on a fast storefront and an admin experience that supports daily catalog work.
Advanced product filtering: We implemented multi-attribute filtering so shoppers can refine results by size, color, material, and price range. Filters update dynamically, which helps customers get to the right product without bouncing between pages.
Inventory management system: We replaced spreadsheet tracking with real-time stock management tied directly to the catalog and order flow. Stock levels update as orders are processed, and low-stock alerts help the team stay ahead of shortages and prevent overselling.
Custom admin panel: We built a dedicated admin interface to manage the catalog efficiently. It supports bulk product uploads, automatic image optimization to help maintain fast load times, and SEO fields to support search visibility. This reduced the time spent on product updates by 60%.
Optimized checkout flow: We redesigned checkout into a streamlined two-step process and implemented Stripe for payments. The shorter path to purchase helped reduce drop-off and contributed to a 35% decrease in cart abandonment.
Mobile-first UI: With 68% of traffic coming from mobile, we built responsive layouts using Tailwind CSS and prioritized mobile usability throughout the shopping flow. The improved mobile experience helped drive a 45% increase in mobile conversion rate.
