A mobile rental journey
Sckootz was a scooter-rental project intended for the US market. The idea was to give people a way to find a scooter, inspect its details and begin a rental through a mobile interface.
From QR code to scooter details
The React Native and Expo app includes QR scanning and manual code entry, scooter discovery on a map, and a details screen for battery and rental information. Account and ride interfaces connect the customer journey.
The development work
The mobile code connects to API workflows for beginning and ending a ride. This case presents the mobile application interface and its connections to ride workflows. It does not cover the backend or physical scooter controls.
The screens were rendered locally from the original interface code with synthetic data. They show an offline demonstration; rentals, payments and live scooter connections are disabled.
Current status
The project is discontinued. It remains a development case; the service is not available through this portfolio. Demo prices, battery levels and scooter records shown in the images are sample values.
