JSON-LD schema generator

Pick the kind of page, fill in the fields, copy the script. It writes valid schema.org structured data for a local business, a service, an FAQ page, an article or a product. Nothing you type is sent to us or saved.

Your JSON-LD

Paste it inside the <head> of that page, then check it with Google’s Rich Results Test or the Schema Markup Validator.

What this tool does

Search engines read your pages as text and guess what they mean. Structured data removes the guessing: it tells Google in a fixed format that this page is a plumbing company in Phoenix, open weekdays, phone number such-and-such, or that these five questions and answers are an FAQ. The generator writes that block for you so you don’t have to learn the schema.org vocabulary or hunt for a missing comma.

Which types it writes

  • LocalBusiness and its subtypes (Plumber, HVACBusiness, Dentist, Restaurant and so on): name, address or service area, phone, hours, profiles. Use it once, on the homepage or contact page.
  • Service: one service, who provides it, where, and an optional starting price. One per service page.
  • FAQPage: the questions and answers that are visible on the page. Google only shows FAQ rich results for some sites now, but the markup still helps it understand the page.
  • Article: headline, author, dates, publisher, image. For blog posts and guides.
  • Product: name, brand, image, price, availability. For a product page on your own store.

How to use it

  1. Pick the page type and fill in the fields. Empty fields are left out of the code, so skip what you don’t have.
  2. Click Copy script and paste it into the page’s <head>. On WordPress, most SEO plugins have a “custom schema” or “header scripts” box; on Shopify, edit theme.liquid or use the theme’s custom code section.
  3. Publish, then run the URL through the Rich Results Test. Fix anything it flags as an error; warnings are optional fields.

Questions

What is JSON-LD and where does it go?

JSON-LD is a small script block that describes your page to search engines in a format they can read without guessing: what the business is, where it is, what it sells, which questions the page answers. It goes inside the <head> of the page, or anywhere in the body; Google reads it either way.

Will schema get me rich results or better rankings?

Schema makes you eligible for rich results such as FAQ dropdowns, star ratings or business details. It does not promise them, and it is not a ranking factor by itself. It helps Google understand the page; the page still has to be worth showing.

Which type should a service business use?

LocalBusiness (or a more specific subtype such as Plumber or HVACBusiness, which the type field lets you pick) for the business itself, usually on the homepage. Service for each service page. FAQPage only on pages where the questions and answers are visible to visitors.

Is my data sent anywhere?

No. The generator runs in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to us or stored.

How do I check that it works?

Paste the page URL or the code into Google’s Rich Results Test (linked under the output). It shows which items were detected and any errors.
