Challenge
FixAndy is a family-owned handyman and home-services business serving the Houston metro. In this category, people don’t browse—they search a specific problem (for example, “drywall repair near me” or “emergency plumbing Katy”), scan a few options, and either call or request an estimate.
FixAndy needed a site that could show up for those service-plus-neighborhood searches and then make the next step obvious. The goal was simple: match what the homeowner typed, confirm trust quickly, and keep “Call Now” and “Get Free Quote” hard to miss.
Discovery
The SEO problem was a two-part equation: what FixAndy does and where it does it. The business offers twelve service lines—plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, flooring, HVAC, drywall, tiling, doors & windows, kitchen, bathroom, and general repairs—and serves 20+ neighborhoods within roughly 50 miles of downtown Houston.
A single catch-all “Services” page couldn’t carry that load. If we wanted search engines to understand the business (and homeowners to quickly confirm they’d found the right provider), we needed a structure that connected each service to the places FixAndy serves—without making the site feel complicated.

FixAndy launched with a site structure built to capture local demand across every service line and neighborhood it serves, then route that traffic into one clear, low-friction quote funnel. Instead of asking visitors to interpret a broad services list, the site connects the search intent to the next step immediately.
The business also presents its own track record—self-reported 500+ projects, 15+ years of experience, and a 90-day labor warranty—and the site is structured to put those trust signals in front of visitors at the moment they’re deciding whether to reach out.
Lessons
Local home-services SEO is mostly a coverage-and-clarity problem. The sites that win publish a genuinely useful page for the exact service and place a homeowner typed in—and then make the estimate request unmistakable once they land.
