AnnDi & Sy: a portfolio site for a Houston photography studio

Challenge

AnnDi & Sy is a two-photographer studio in Houston working across two very different worlds: warm, candid family sessions and crisp, controlled product photography. They needed a single online home that could hold both bodies of work without feeling cluttered — and that loaded quickly despite being built almost entirely from large, high-resolution images.

Discovery

For a photographer, the website is the product demo. Every design decision had to defer to the imagery. We focused on three things: galleries that present work beautifully, performance that keeps those galleries from feeling heavy, and an inquiry path clear enough that an impressed visitor never has to hunt for how to book.

Approach

We chose an image-forward, minimal design language — generous whitespace, restrained typography, and almost no interface chrome competing with the photographs. Underneath, we engineered responsive image delivery so each device receives appropriately sized files instead of full-resolution originals.
